  • Security Information
George Hills Company, Inc. uses Windows NT Server 4.0 as its platform. Under such client/server technology, users have two separate and distinct logon names and passwords for Windows NT and Portal.

Windows NT’s security system allows a variation of security levels from no security at all to the C2 level of security, which is the baseline criteria used by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA). According to Microsoft, it has worked closely with the U.S. NSA to ensure that Windows NT complies with the government’s security requirements. Such a level protects and controls access, identification and authentication, object reuse, auditing, and other security issues. In other words, Windows NT protects memory, deleted files, disks, and other devices. In addition to the user requirements of unique logon names and passwords, the administrator can track activities of users.
